Will Under-21 Hotshots Get Senior Chance?

Dominic Solanke, Tammy Abraham and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will look to push their senior squad claims in 2019 after all making their mark in England's march to the European Under-21 Championship which will be held in Italy and San Marino in the summer.

Between them they contributed 11 goals in qualification and the fluidity of movement between the two squads means that the trio are candidates both for the Under-21 finals and the party that Gareth Southgate chooses for the Nations League finals in Portugal.

Solanke will be looking to get more regular first-team football under his belt in 2019 after completing a £19m move to Bournemouth from Liverpool this week after failing to get a look in at the Premier League leaders during the current campaign.

It has been another prolific year in the Championship to date for Abraham with the Chelsea loanee netting 16 goals in 20 league matches for Aston Villa.

The only one of the three not to have been capped at senior level as yet, Calvert-Lewin has featured regularly for Everton this season.
