Steve Cooper's side followed up their semi-final win against Brazil by beating another powerhouse of the world game in Kolkata.

Trailing 2-0 to Spain, England's youngsters once again showed remarkable composure to level the game and then run out 5-2 winners.

The likes of Phil Foden of Manchester City and Liverpool's Rhian Brewster have suddenly become household names before getting anywhere near the first-teams of their respective clubs.

Foden, highly-rated by Pep Guardiola, was named Player of the Tournament but the whole England squad deserve huge credit, for their performances of course but also for the way they have conducted themselves throughout their time in India.

A huge crowd in Kolkata provided another memorable experience for the players and, although a debate remains to be had about how many of them will be able to break through in the Premier League, they head for home with the kind of memory that even seasoned professionals would long to have.
